Karen first discovered yoga in 2009 when looking for a solution to back problems she was experiencing due to several years of working as a hair stylist. It didn’t take long for her to fall in love with yoga—not only for its physical benefits, but for its mental benefits as well. Excited to share these benefits with as many people as possible, Karen completed her 200 hour teacher training through YogaWorks in February of 2012 and received her 500 hour RYT in December 2015, studying under world-renowned yoga instructor Natasha Rizopoulos. As an avid runner and swimmer, Karen takes her passion for physical exercise on to the mat, guiding students through a dynamic sequence designed to build strength and flexibility. With innovative sequencing and creative transitions - as well as a strong focus on proper alignment - students remain focused and engaged throughout their entire practice. Karen invites you to come to her class with an open mind about what your body can do so that you can learn, discover and most importantly, enjoy yourself. With constant attention being brought back to the breath, you will leave her class feeling centered and strong.
When not on her mat, Karen enjoys spending time with her husband and three young children, future yogis in the making.
